Review of the hotel Estadia
I stayed a couple of nights here recently and
The Bad
- Can't believe it!, Rooms has no phone, how suppouse I receive calls or make them?
- Pool has good size for swimming (even diving) but is nearly frozen
- Main entrance hasn't a door bell (doors are closed at 9pm) if you are left outside you will need to call (by your cell phone if you are carrying one) to the reception to send someone to open you in case you don't know there is other gate.
- Reception works just till 10-11pm
The so-so
- Food is ok, some dishes are overpriced
- Rooms are elegant, the lack of aircondition / fan may be a worry in hotter seasons,
I missed the jacuzzi that I have enjoy in other boutique hotels, building need some maintainance, nothing serious
The good
- You wil have the hotel for yourself, other guests leave the place just before breakfast, maybe because the frozen pool and the overpriced food
- Gardens are incredible, some parts need moore care
- Service is good
- Check in and out hours are friendly: 11am in, 1pm out, if the room hasn't been reserved for occupancy on your departure day you can stay longer without extra charge (even at the room not only the facilities).
Conclusion: The hotel has potential, just need to invest in maintainance, hire someone to be in the reception 24hrs (suggest to the owners: don't run the hotel by yourself, as you live there too, makes the feeling on the guests to be invading your space), put phones on the rooms of course, do some benchmark with other boutique hotels of the city, wish you luck
